Sonia Evans

Born in Skelmersdale in 1971, Sonia was signed to the Stock Aitken and Waterman record label and had her first number one hit in 1989 with You'll Never Stop Me Loving You. After scoring further Top 10 hits, she represented the UK at the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest with the song Better the Devil You Know and finished second. In recent years she has become a mother and is still a regular sight in musical theatre productions throughout the country.
