Detectives have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to after a burglary at a convenience store in Skelmersdale.
Around 4.20pm on Tuesday 22 April, two men entered Lite Express on Fairstead and demanded money from the female shop assistant before reaching over the counter and taking a plastic tub which contained money.
The two thugs were dressed in dark clothing, with their hoods up and had their faces covered.
Detective Sergeant John Entwisle said: “Thankfully, the shop assistant wasn’t physically injured, but she has been left shaken. There were also a number of small children in the shop at the time who were left feeling scared.
“If anybody recognises either of the men captured on CCTV or has any information about the incident then I would urge them to contact police.”
It is believed one of the two men that police would like to speak to walked into a two foot tall pole outside the shop prior to entering.
Detective Sergeant John Entwisle added: “It may be that this man injured his leg and if this strikes a chord with anyone and you think you can identify this person then please contact us.”
Anybody with any information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.
