Ormskirk's smallest beauty queen has set her sights on representing England in the international competition Face of the Globe.
Ava King was just four when she strutted down her first beauty pageant catwalk in March and was crowned Miss Popularity.
The pageant star began her modelling career when she was just a baby and has featured adverts for some of the UK’s biggest brands such as Mamas & Papas and Disney.
Ava’s nan Sarah, from Ormskirk said: “She is a very confident little girl, for four years old.
“I went to the pageant at the Hilton in Liverpool and I am more than made up with Ava.
“I loved when she had the Mamas & Papas photo shoot done when she was a little baby; they were just stunning.
“When I was in their shops I just couldn’t stop looking at them, I have them all over my house.
“She is a beautiful little girl with beautiful eyes.
‘‘She is so lovely and very well mannered, we are very proud.”
Ava was brought up in Ormskirk but has just recently moved to Norris Green with her mum, Sophie, 26.
Sophie said: “I grew up in Ormskirk and went to St Anne’s and then St Bede’s High School.
“Ava has always loved modelling, she is a little diva. We were asked if she would take part in the LMI Little Miss Independent Beauty Pageant at the Hilton Hotel in Liverpool.
“Usually you need to be five, but Ava is just so confident.
“We now have our fingers crossed for the semi-finals of the Face of The Globe on May 10 in Chester Music Hall with the hope she will go on to the live finals being held in Disneyland Paris.”
As part of the pageant little Ava and her mum are trying to raise awareness of their chosen charity the Rainbow Child Foundation.
Rainbow Child Foundation is a non-profit organisation that aims to help underprivileged children around the world.
Sophie said: “This was the next step for Ava, we put her forward for modelling when she was just six months and almost immediately she was chosen for a Littlewoods campaign.
‘‘She had also modelled for Toys R Us, Mamas & Papas and Disney Princesses.
“She loves doing the Disney shoots, but it was when she got the Mamas & Papas casting that I really felt proud.
“There were thousands at the casting and she was picked, it was wonderful.”
Ava’s little brother Marcus has also joined a modelling agency.
Sophie said: “He is eight months old and we only signed him up to an agency a few months ago, so we have had nothing just yet.
She added: “Ava was also a catwalk model on Easter Sunday at Priors Hall Golf Club in Chester for a charity called Majestic Wishes, with all proceeds going to charity.
“She is just a happy-go-lucky little girl and we are keeping our fingers crossed for Chester.”
