Millie Heaton and her family are preparing to celebrate the Skelmersdale toddler’s birthday and are looking to involve members of the community as well.
A family fun day will be taking place on Millie’s third birthday on June 14 in Skelmersdale from 12pm to 6pm.
Millie’s family are currently looking for entertainers, and characters such as princesses and clowns to help out on the day.
People to man stalls are also needed, as are good-quality raffle prizes.
Millie’s mum Lyndsay said: “If anyone can help us in any way, I’d urge you to please get in touch, or if you have any ideas how to make this the best birthday ever for Millie, please message us on our Facebook site, The Millie-Rose Appeal.”
Millie is currently undergoing chemotherapy at Manchester Hospital to tackle her neuroblastoma which tragically returned last month after she had previously been cleared of the disease in February.
Last year Millie had a birthday party at The Commie’s Club while she under- going intensive chemotherapy. Lyndsay said: “Millie is doing well with her chemo but has been complaining of belly ache quite a bit.
“We’ve been trying to ensure she has lots of fun though and she’s enjoying having her big sister with her at the hospital keeping her company.
“On Tuesday they made lovely Easter pictures and played some games with the magician, including pass the parcel to pass time whilst Millie had her meds.
“She also had a great day on Sunday when she went to watch Disney on ice at the ECHO arena.
“The chemotherapy is really draining for her though and we just hope it all continues to go well for her.”
