A beauty queen from Skelmersdale has won a host of awards at a North West competition.
Keeley Garner-Brogan, 10, from Tanhouse, was crowned Miss Popular and Mini Miss LMI at the Little Miss Independent beauty pageant, held in March this year.
Last week, Keeley appeared in the Face of North West beauty pageant where she won Miss Congeniality and Miss Charity for her fundraising efforts for Dean Puplett against Neuroblastoma.
Proud mum, Denise Garner, said: “We’re all thrilled with Keeley’s performance.
“It’s all very exciting and she’s really enjoying what she’s doing.
“Since she won the Little Miss Independent pageant we’ve had a lot of interest from other pageants wanting her to take part.
“Sadly she didn’t win the North West pageant but she was a close runner-up.”
She added: “Keeley just wants to keep going now, she’s got the pageant bug and we’ll continue to support her while she is enjoying taking part.”
Keeley is also a budding actress with aspirations of, one day, appearing in household shows like EastEnders. Denise said: “Keeley is actually quite a shy person but the pageants have really brought her out of her shell.
“She loves all the glamour and the glitz and it has made her much more self-confident, which is great.
“She’s also been signed to a modelling agency off the back of her success and, hopefully, she’ll get some more modelling opportunities through that.
“We’re just so proud.”
Keeley has a three-year-old sister, Amelia, but Amelia has no plans to follow in her sister’s footsteps . . . at least, for now.
