Relive the Burscough FA Trophy 2003 final victory

Burscough were the smallest side ever to win the FA Trophy in 2003

In 2003 Burscough achieved the unlikely with a 2-1 win over Tamworth in the FA Trophy Final at Villa Park.

Shaun Teale, the former Aston Villa defender led the Linnets to victory, playing 12 games in the competition and becoming the smallest club ever to win non-league football's premier knockout competition.

The victory was all the more remarkable considering Burscough finished 18th in the Northern Premier League, and Teale was sacked six weeks later.
