West Lancs attraction Farmer Ted’s wins top tourism award

FARMER Ted’s Farm Park staff were celebrating after winning a major tourism prize.

The Downholland attraction won the Best Tourism Experience of the Year Award for the second year in a row for Farmageddon.

A truly scary experience, Farmageddon attracted hundreds of people along to Farmer Ted’s in the run up to Hallowe’en last year.

Two other West Lancs organisations were highly commended in the awards.

The West Tower Country House Hotel, Aughton, received this accolade in the Small Hotel of the Year category, which was won by Mytton Fold Hotel and Golf Complex, Langho.

The Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust (WWT) Centre at Martin Mere, Burscough, was highly commended in the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year section, won by Blackpool Tower and Circus.
