Halloween attraction Farmaggedon scoops award at England’s Northwest Tourism Awards
THE tourist site which includes Hallowe’en attraction Farmaggedon has scooped an award at England’s Northwest Tourism Awards, held on Monday night at Blackpool’s Tower Ballroom.
Farmer Ted’s on Flatman Lane in Downholland won tourism experience of the year beating four others in their category.
Its winter attraction, Farmaggeddon, attracts hundreds of people between October and November looking for something a bit sinister and spellbinding.
With over 70 live actors dressed as zombies, ghosts, and ghouls, the farm yard is transformed into a fright festival.
In summer the farm park is a working farm which doubles as a children’s theme park where the kids can meet and stroke the animals.
But, in the run-up to Hallowe’en, something far more sinister and truly horrible is stirring, strictly for adults only.
Farmer Mark Edwards and his alter ego Giuseppe Savage converted two barns into venues, Terror on the Farm and InsaniTy, destined to scare the living daylights out of visitors.
