Provisional opening date announced for Iceland’s new Ormskirk store

FROZEN food giant Iceland could open their new store in Ormskirk next spring.

The Advertiser revealed last month that Iceland were taking over the former Woolworth’s store on Aughton Street.

The company – which has more than 600 stores nationwide – has announced a provisional date for the opening of the new shop on February 25 next year.

Further announcements about the new store are expected later this month.

The store is expected to create many new jobs for local people.

It will need managers, assistants, cashiers and other workers to run the retail unit and there are also expected to be graduate opportunities.
