PEOPLE across West Lancashire rose to the challenge to raise money for Children In Need.
Regulars and staff at the Derby Arms raised £2,600 from a fun night at the Aughton pub.
Chef Shaun Barker helped raise a lot of the cash by auctioning himself off to cook for a dinner party at someone’s house.
Staff members Linda Brown and Jody Robertson put themselves forward to do tasks including being a personal shopper and a maid.
A signed Newcastle United shirt was also auctioned off. This was donated by Ryan Taylor whose mum Debbie works at the pub.
Music was provided by Tony Schofield and Lee Brennan. Former regular George White, who now lives in France, was also there to help the music go with a swing, along with Irishman Gary McGovern.
Landlady Janice Brogden said: “It was one of the best nights we have ever had at the pub. I would like to thank Stone Lifestyle, Ormskirk HSBC, Williams BMW, BSA Foods Ormskirk, Tyrer Produce and Coca Cola UK.”
