Psychic Joe Power denies claims on Derren Brown’s Channel 4 show that he is a fake

PSYCHIC Joe Power has hit back after TV illusionist Derren Brown branded him a ‘fake’ in a Channel 4 documentary.

Joe, who lives in Ormskirk, took part in the programme ‘Derren Brown Investigates’ which follows the star as he investigates various paranormal phenomenon.

In the first episode of the series Derren joined Joe around Liverpool and West Lancashire as he gave readings.

More than 200 people came to see Joe at the Beaufort Hotel in Burscough for an Evening of Clairvoyance early last year and Derren was there to observe Joe as he delivered messages from the spirit world to friends and family members in the audience.

Joe said: “I thought the whole programme was supposed to be fair and balanced.

“I went into the programme because I thought it was going to be an intelligent programme where a sceptic would observe me and it would be a fascinating viewing.

“But I w as made to feel uncomfortable from the very start.

“I felt like it was an interrogation. Not just from Derren Brown but the whole crew.”
