Ormskirk Parish Church vicar Rev Chris Jones on his busy Christmas time

ORMSKIRK Parish Church vicar Rev Chris Jones has been extremely busy in the run up to Christmas

And he will be busy conducting services on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day before driving down to London to see his own family.

Rev Jones said: “It’s a very busy time with a great variety of things going on.

“There are carol services and Christmas visits as well as normal church services.

“Although Christmas is a nice time there are some people grieving the loss of loved ones. This is the time of year when their loss comes back to them.

“People who are grieving for a loved one can come in and write a prayer for them, and light a candle.

“The church is open between 10am and 3pm on Thursday and Saturdays for the Cribs and Christmas Trees exhibition and people are more than welcome come to the church at that time.”
