POLICE are appealing for help with two cases they believe could be connected to riots that swept the country earlier this month.
CCTV images have been released of the incidents in Skelmersdale on August 9.
The first took place around 10pm at the Concourse Shopping Centre, when a group of young men attempted to set fire to property.
A 15-year-old boy from Skelmersdale has been arrested on suspicion of unlawful violence and has been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
However, police are still keen to identify a number of other people seen in the area at the time of the offence.
The second incident happened at the ASDA supermarket on Ingram Road around 11pm.
A trolley was thrown at a window and a bottle, containing what is thought to be petrol, was thrown at police officers, though nobody was injured.
Detective Sergeant Phil Bowerbank from Skelmersdale Police urged people to look at the images and contact officers with any information.
Geographic Inspector Sue Swift added: “Anti- social behaviour will not be tolerated in West Lancashire and all incidents reported will be fully investigated.
Anyone with any information should contact Lancashire Police on 0845 1 25 35 45.
