Latest CCTV images in our crime crackdown in West Lancashire

HERE are the latest CCTV images released by police as part of the Advertisers crime crackdown campaign in West Lancashire.

This week we have seven more crimes we need your help to solve.

Picture one shows two people police want to speak to over a fraud at Orm Service Station, County Road, Ormskirk at 10.47am on August 5.

The pair, who spoke in eastern European accents, requested change for a quantity of notes they had. The cashier changed the money into denominations he thought they wanted but then they changed their minds and money was handed back and forth, resulting in the cashier becoming confused and handed over £200 more than he had first been given. The officer in the case is PC 68 Cooper.

Picture two is from a break-in at a house in Jacksmere Lane, Scarisbrick at 12pm on August 7. Burglars went into the back garden and smashed a window in a patio door. Once inside, the owner heard the smashing glass and went to investigate, disturbing the gang who fled over the garden gate, possibly into a waiting vehicle. The officer in the case is PC 1147 Burke.

Picture three is from a shoplifting at Bargain Booze, Ormskirk Road, in Skelmersdale. At 10.35pm on August 13, a thief stole an £11 12-pack of Stella Lager. The officer in the case isPC 2616 Hogan.

Picture four relates to a drive-off diesel theft at Motor fuel , Mossy Lea Road, Wrightington. It happened at 6.45pm on August 21. The man filled the tank of a silver Ford Transit van being driven on false plates with £105.21 worth of diesel. The officer is PCc 659 Holdsworth.

Pictures five and six show two people police wanted over a theft at Tesco’s in Burscough at 3.45pm on August 28. High quality discount vouchers were used to pay for nappies, toiletries and washing powder worth £131. This type of theft has occurred in other Tesco stores in Blackpool and Preston . The woman has a distinctive tattoo of a number of red outlined stars from her hair to her neck. PC 68 Cooper is the officer in the case.

Picture seven is from a shoplifting at Home and Bargain, The Concourse, Skelmersdale at 12.51pm on August 9. The thief stole three bars of chocolate worth £1.47, a 49p bottle of pop and two air fresheners worth £7.98. The officer is PC 3469 O’Toole. Any information on these crimes to police on 101.
