Ramada fashion show in aid of Benjamin Gautrey Foundation

GLAMOROUS fashion stores are teaming up to support the Benjamin Gautrey Foundation next week.

Several top shops are holding a fashion show in aid of the charity – with guests also set to enjoy a three-course meal at the Ramada hotel fundraiser.

Ben’s sisters, Alex and Jessica, will be among the models strutting their stuff for the foundation, set up as a tribute to keen motorcyclist Ben, who died in a crash at a Superbikes meeting .

In Southport, Lord Street shops Cove and Marc Cain will be joined by Cachet and Blu Kangaroo in providing the clothes and footwear for the show, while hair and make-up will be done by Rumour Hair of Churchtown and Flutterby.

As well as Alex and Jessica, Ben’s one- year-old niece, Nell, will also make an appearance on the catwalk.

Ben’s mum, Lorraine, is looking forward to the fundraiser on Monday, September 24 – though she admitted she was feeling nervous too.

She said: “It will be what it’s going to be and everything so far has turned out absolutely perfect. I do get nervous and a little bit stressed with everything but for what we have had to face this is nothing.”

The ladies’ lunch and fashion show will run from 12pm-3pm, hosted by Radio City’s Claire Simonsen. Tickets are £25. For more details, ring Lorraine on 07875 623760.
