ALTCAR Training Camp was the venue for a vast display of military might as the Army Careers Exhibition gave thousands of local school children the opportunity to see tanks, a Chinook helicopter, mighty guns and displays about the SAS, sports, cooking, assault course and initiative tests.
Around 3,000 youngsters were in attendance for each of the four days.
There were also static displays with both Regular and TA Volunteers, plus Army Cadets, and all the children had the chance to speak to them and get honest answers about careers in the military.
One evening was reserved for more than 100 firms which have employees serving in the TA, to support their dedicated role with a tour of the displays, a presentation and an excellent curry.
Major Roy Bevan said: “To complete the week, the last day was reserved for Cadets from the North West.
“More than 2,000 attended and had a brilliant day and to witness that the British Army is the finest in the world.”
