SIX men were charged after regional crime officers carried out raids across Merseyside targeting drugs, firearms and money laundering.
Ten men and one woman were arrested after officers from the organised crime unit, known as Titan, carried out the raids in Southport, Ainsdale, Anfield, Wallasey, Huyton, Banks, Aughton as well as Woodhouses, Manchester, Hyde and Stockport yesterday morning.
Mark Huggins, 35, of Helston Green, Huyton, was charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and offences under the Proceeds of Crime Act, Julian Solomon, 32, of Liverpool Road, Southport, was charged with grievous bodily harm and possession of a prohibited weapon and Kevin Dally, 43, of Moorbridge Close, Bootle was charged with conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm and conspiracy to commit blackmail.
Terence Sergeant, 33, of no fixed abode and Alan Bentley, 43, of Eton Court, Northwich, were charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs and Daniel Edgar, 28, of Medlock Road, Woodhouses, Greater Manchester, was charged with conspiracy to supply class B drugs.
Sergeant was remanded in custody while the others were bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates Court on October 25.
A 41-year-old man from Wallasey and two men aged 38 and 50 from Southport have been bailed pending further enquiries.
A 49-year-old woman from Northwich was released without charge and a 43-year-old man from Hyde, Greater Manchester, was still being quizzed by detectives.
Police also uncovered a cannabis farm with about 100 plants at a house in Fazakerley.
The operation was linked to raids last month which saw 13 people arrested.
