HERE are more fantastic photos showing how West Lancs pulled together – with mug in hand – to support Macmillan’s annual World’s Biggest Coffee Morning.
At Yours is the Earth cafe in Parbold, cafe owner Nina Ainscough teamed up with Lydia Hale to host an event for the charity.
Lydia lost her mum Jennifer at the age of 53 after a three-year battle with breast cancer last autumn.
Their coffee morning raised a fantastic £450 and afterwards Lydia said: “Nina and Yours is the Earth have been fantastic, they have donated cakes and raffle prizes as well as giving up their time to help raise money for Macmillan.
“Macmillan is a fantastic charity and fundraising events such as the coffee morning are vital to ensure that they can continue to provide the fantastic care and support to families affected by cancer.”
Meanwhile, Brighouse Wolff Estate Agents and Solicitors in Sandy Lane, Skelmersdale, also held a coffee morning organised by Kathryn Parsonage in aid of the cancer charity.
Annette Hanley, of the firm, said: “We had numerous delicious home made cakes for sale and have raised £209 for Macmillan. “Thanks to all who supported the event which was a great success.”
