Glenburn Host Christmas Market

Glenburn Sports College are busily planning for their Christmas Market which will be held this year on Saturday December 1 from 11.00 am – 2.00 pm.
 
This successful  event was staged for the first time two years ago and was described in the press the following morning as “stirring up community spirit.”
 
Once again this year, the school campus will invite the wider community to join them at our Christmas Market which will feature a fantastic range of attractions. Younger visitors can enjoy a Breakfast with Santa before visiting him in his Grotto, then they will have the opportunity to get ‘crafty’ with the Actvi8 team and decorate foam snowmen and Christmas baubles. 

As if all of this is not enough, whilst mums and dads (and Grandmas and Granddads are mooching around the Market Stalls) – everyone will have an opportunity to get their skates on and test out our outdoor Ice Rink!

For those with a taste for nostalgia, visiting this event is a must.  There will be carousels, children’s rides and the wonderful smell of freshly made candy floss will provide all the fun of the Fair!  Children and adults alike will be delighted by the traditional entertainment from local artistes, wonderful Christmas music, Choir’s thrilling you with Festive Carols and the Tanhouse Morris Dancers bringing their own brand of traditional entertainment to the event -  there really will be something for everyone, young and young-at-heart alike.

As well as a collection of Christmas cards and beautiful Christmas gifts, all of this will contribute to making this a fabulous event for all the family– so make sure you don’t miss what we are hoping will be the festive event of the year locally!
