BURSCOUGH Wharf’s Christmas entertainment continued last weekend with a nativity performed by giant puppets.

Produced by members of Another Place Theatre Company, in association with The Dominos Partnership, eight giant puppets took to the courtyard to deliver a rather unique version of the nativity.

The performance was supported by local children from Burscough Township Primary School and St John’s School.

On Sunday local singer Mike McCardle and his band, The Dukes of Swing, performed live music throughout the afternoon.

This week, visitors can take to the ice as the Wharf hosts its first ice rink located in the courtyard until Dec 28th. Bringing the pre-Christmas programme to a fitting close the Tarleton Brass Band will perform Christmas Songs on Saturday from 1-4pm, whilst Santa will be in his Winter Wonderland all weekend plus Christmas Eve until 4pm.
