Police release CCTV of three men they want to speak to over vicious street attack in Ormskirk

THESE are the three men police want to speak to over a vicious early-morning street attack in Ormskirk town centre.

Lancashire Police have released these CCTV images to the Advertiser as part of our crackdown on crime campaign in a bid to track down the men pictured following an assault at 2.45am on December 8.

Two friends had been on a night out in the town centre when they got into an argument with three men behind A&B Cabs on Moorgate.

It escalated into a vicious assault with one of the two victims – who are both in their 20s – being punched and the other headbutted.

Following the attack one of the assaulted men was referred to Whiston plastic surgery department for minor hospital treatment on a facial wound suffered during the incident.

Officers from Lancashire Police are now appealing for the public’s help in tracking down the three men pictured in the footage that they want to speak to in connection with the attack.

Sergeant Steve Monk said: “We are actively seeking the persons responsible for this crime.

“It would appear to be an unprovoked attack on two young men.

“We are now seeking help from members of the public to identify the people pictured in the CCTV images.”

Anyone with any information on the crime or who might know the men pictured can contact Lancashire Police on 101.
