THESE images show a man wanted by police over a spree of supermarket booze thefts.
The CCTV footage has been released by police in a bid to track down the suspect as part of the Advertiser’s Crackdown on Crime campaign.
The first image is from a shoplifting at the Booths store, on Station Road, Hesketh Bank, at 1.09pm on December 20.
The man went into the store, got a shopping trolley and placed a bag into the trolley.
He then went to the spirits section of the store and put eight bottles of spirits worth a total of £160 into the bag before leaving the store without paying.
The second image is from a theft from the Co-op, on Church Road, Tarleton, at 2.25pm on December 18. The man went into the store and put six bottles of spirits into a canvas bag – the haul included two bottles of Bacardi, two Jack Daniels and two Gordons Gin, worth a sum of £90 – and again left without paying.
The same man is also wanted over a further two thefts from the same two stores, both raided within the space of just 15 minutes on January 4.
He went into the Hesketh Bank Booths at 9.30pm and stole a bottle of Bombay Sapphire gin and a bottle of Jagermeister worth £40.78, hid the items inside his jacket and then fled from the store.
Just minutes later, he went to the Co-op in Tarleton at 9.43pm and stole a bottle of Co-op whisky worth £12.69, and a bottle of Co-op Highland Malt whisky, worth £19.39.
He was spotted taking the bottles by members of staff, who ran after him as he left the store, but he got away.
Anyone with any information on these crimes, or who recognises the man in the images, can contact the officer in charge of the case, PC 659 Holdsworth on 101 or alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
