PLANS to demolish and rebuild an Ormskirk bathroom store have been submitted to West Lancashire council.
The application, put forward by AMS Plumbing Services, proposes to knock down the existing The Bath House on Burscough Street and replace it with a new two-storey building complete with showroom, offices, trade counter and five two-bedroom flats.
Car parking on the site will be increased to accommodate 19 car spaces and five cycle spaces.
Of those, five will be allocated to the residents of the flats and two for disabled drivers.
The proposal’s design and access statement says: “The applicant considers that this is a significant opportunity to provide inward investment into the site, providing five high quality, sustainable homes that offer easy accessibility to the town centre and surrounding facilities, whilst providing a non-food retail facility that can only enhance the retail capabilities of Ormskirk town centre.”
