A WOMAN from Aughton is hoping to raise hundreds of pounds for charity in memory of her late mother.
Deniece Fay, 34, will host The Mother’s Day Cabaret this Sunday, March 10, from 3pm.
It will take place at the Aughton Institute and all proceeds will go to Queenscourt Hospice who cared for Deniece’s mum Joan Fay in her final months.
Joan, who passed away 15 years ago aged 49, was a well-known face in Aughton.
She ran the Stanley Arms for many years before taking over Tess Riley’s on Charlotte Street in Liverpool.
The event will feature a three-course meal, live entertainment from Josh Adams, as well as a disco, Irish bingo and raffle.
Last year Deneice held a Afternoon Tea Party in Maghull. More than 70 ladies turned up for the event which raised more than £750 for Queenscourt Hospice.
