A FESTIVAL in Scarisbrick aimed at children proved to be a huge success as crowds turned out for a whole host of shows and activities.
The Kids Fun Fest, which lasted for two days, hosted a variety of shows, including Britain’s Got Talent Semi-finalists Faces of Disco, who wowed audiences with their unique blend of comedy and slick dance routines.
For just your single ticket price of £15, families were able to enjoy all the activities on the show site; from archery to face painting, it was a fun-filled day for all ages.
Louise Holcroft, who helped out organiser Bill Clarke, said: “It was just fantastic, my seven-year-old son absolutely loved it and the weather was great.
“All the acts were superb, Sportacus from CBeebies’ Lazytown was great – he had all the kids up and jumping about, they really loved him.
“There was also a circus skills workshop, climbing, archery and an inflatable play area. It went really well and there is hope that it will become an annual event.
“It can take a while for events like this to gather a following and for some it may seem like a lot of money to pay in one go but once you enter the festival everything is free inside.”
Organiser of the Fun Fest on August 7 and 8 at Shaw Hall Caravan Park, Bill Clarke said: “A big thank you to everyone who came and everyone who helped with the festival.”
Ben Webster, who took the photos on the day and had a stall advertising his new photo shop, Memory Box Pictures, in Burscough, said: “It really was a great day out for the whole family. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and all the acts were brilliant.”
