ORGANISERS of Rock the Lakes were thrilled after last weekend’s festival was hailed a big success.
It was the third time the festival has been held, and wannabe festival goers had to be turned away on Saturday night.
Almost 1,500 people attended the rock festival over the three days.
Festival organiser Mike Blundell said: “It’s unbelievable the response we’ve had from people this year.
“The festival was fantastic, we had loads and loads of people come and the feedback from people was incredible.
“The weather on Saturday was a bit ropey but it didn’t dampen our spirts.
“Everybody loved it, we like to think we offer a unique festival experience, it has a quality like no other.”
Several bands played across the three days, such as Fag Ash Lil and Marauder.
Mike says he is hoping to build on his success for next year and is already planning on how to make it better than ever.
Mike said: “We do it because we love it.
“We really don’t make that much profit – we just want people to have a good time.”
