FAMILY-RUN Brick Kiln Farm celebrated the second birthday of their successful crisp manufacturing business this month.
Fiddler's Lancashire Crisps, produced by the Fiddler family on their Rufford farm, came into being two years ago when the family ploughed £1m into the crisp operation to ensure the future of the 60-year-old farm for years to come.
They’ve won the Great Taste Gold Award for their flavours, Salt and Cracked Pepper and Black Pudding and English Mustard flavour.
Robert Fiddler said: “We’re really glad we went into the crisp business.
“We decided on black pudding and mustard as a new flavour as we think black pudding itself has grown in popularity.
“It's even being served in top restaurants.
“We're always looking for new customers and get really excited when we receive new orders and more interest.”
With the business going so well in just its first two years, the family have high hopes for the future and say they hope to expand the size of the operation at some time next year.
