A TEACHER has been cleared of the harassment of an elderly couple after an appeal heard in Preston Crown Court.
Stephen Henders was found guilty of the harassment of Robert and Mary Price in a case which originally came to court in April of this year. Mr Henders lodged an appeal with the court and his conviction was duly quashed on August 30.
Mr Henders said: “ I have maintained a quiet but confident dignity since April, knowing that the truth would emerge. At the time of the alleged incident, police had placed a vulnerable marker on my house.
“I now intend to follow the original police advice and pursue a legal action against three men who were arrested for affray.
“This episode has taken a terrible toll on my health and my family and I am grateful to my friends and neighbours for support.”
