ORMSKIRK author Calvin Wade has released his second novel and is hoping to replicate the success of his debut tale.
Calvin released his first novel, Forever is Over, at the end of 2011 and since then it has been downloaded by over 70,000 people on Amazon.
Following the success of his first book, Calvin has written a second called Kiss My Name which is set in Chorley, where he now lives with wife Alison and two sons Brad, 15, and Joel,11.
Calvin, 42, said: “This novel is currently doing really well. It’s only been out a couple of weeks and already thousands of people have downloaded it.
“It’s set in Chorley but the location isn’t that important in this book.
“The characters are the main focus and it begins with a man on the eve of his wedding being confronted by a woman with a shotgun at his door.
“The rest of the novel then traces their story, leading up to the shotgun moment.
“Forever is Over was quite sad in parts, but this is much more light- hearted.
“I’d say it’s a coming of age romantic comedy style novel that I hope people will enjoy reading. “
Calvin says he gets inspiration from family and friends for events in his books.
Calvin added: “There’s certainly a grain of truth in many stories that feature. ”
