POLICE are appealing for information after a man suffered serious injuries when he was hit by a car in Ormskirk.
The 83-year-old was crossing the road just after 3pm on Friday, November 29, when he was hit by a Vauxhall Meriva at the junction of Derby Road and Station Approach.
The man, from Aughton, suffered a fractured wrist and pelvis and was taken to Southport Hospital; his injuries were not thought to be life-threatening.
The driver of the car was uninjured and the road was partially closed for two hours.
Sgt Finn Quainton said: “An investigation into the collision is now under way and I am keen to speak with anybody who witnessed it.
“If you saw what happened, please contact us.”
