FAMILY-RUN business Floors UK has recently relocated to Waterside Business Park, Burscough.
Dean Fields, joint owner of the company explained how the new location was perfect for their expanding business.
He said: “The company needed a bigger premises as we had outgrown our previous office in Formby.
“It is an ideal site for our business with its onsite parking and potential to expand”.
The site has remained derelict since the Abacus Self Store units caught fire in November 2010. That took nearly 24 hours and over 80 firefighters to get the blaze under control. No one was injured but 12 homes and the Farmer Arms pub were forced to evacuate.
The blaze meant numerous families lost thousands of pounds worth of belongings and priceless possessions.
Dean told the Advertiser that since relocating to a bigger premises in September the business has thrived.
The company has not only expanded in its location but its amount and variety of product, introducing new lines each month.
UK Floors provides a next- day delivery service, a sample service and a price match guarantee.
Dead said: “Customer service is key to our business. Originally we only supplied carpet and tiles but we branched out in our variety in response to our customer feedback. We have attracted a lot of new contacts recently.”
Expanding has meant joint owners Kevin and Dean Fields have needed to employ Ormskirk people.
Dean said: “We were internet based for a long time, but I realised we needed to take more control and be more involved in our product”. Since this decision the company has been doing extremely well and Kevin and Dean have plans to expand.
