JOHN Andrew O'Connor, 25, of Waterway Avenue, Bootle appeared before Ormskirk Magistrates on December 6 charged with not being at his place of abode and having articles on his person for use in connection with a theft namely gloves, torch and a hat on September 26 at Halsall.
O'Conner was found guilty and sentenced to a community order, he was ordered to pay £200 costs and a victim surcharge of £60.
NORMAN Phillip Clark, 63, of Owen Avenue, Ormskirk appeared before Ormskirk Magistrates on December 6 charged with beating Barrie Buckton on September 6 at Ormskirk. He was also charged with destroying a motorcycle to the value of £650 belonging to Barrie Buckton on the same day.
Clark was found guilty of both offences and given a conditional discharge, ordered to pay compensation of £500 and a victim surcharge of £15.
SUZANNE Louise Canton, 41, of Halsall Manor Court, Halsall, appeared before Ormskirk Magistrates Court on December 2 charged with beating Rozalind Yates, pursuing a course of harassment against Nicole Braniff and assaulting Nicole Braniff on October 24 at Halsall.
Canton pleaded not guilty to all three offences and the case has been adjourned for the trial which will take place on January 24 at Ormskirk Magistrates Court.
