A BURSCOUGH man has pleaded guilty to three offences of indecent exposure after detectives issued an appeal to find the man responsible.
Aaron Birney, 21, of Moss Nook, in Burscough, pleaded guilty to three offences of indecent exposure and was remanded to appear for sentencing before Chorley Magistrates on February 5.
The charges relate to incidents on January 14 on Liverpool Road, Longton, on January 2 on Liverpool Old Road, Much Hoole, and on December 17 on Liverpool Road, Much Hoole.
At 1.25pm, on Tuesday, December 17, Birney got out of a red car on The Fox Cub car park, on Liverpool Road, in Much Hoole, and exposed himself to a woman, before getting back in the car and driving off towards Southport.
Birney struck again on Thursday, January 2, 2014, when he exposed himself to a woman who was out running on Liverpool Road, near to Brook Lane, in Much Hoole. He then made off onto Brook Lane.
The final incident took place on January 14 on Liverpool Road, Longton, at 1pm. Birney parked up in the residential area and got out of the car when he saw a woman coming.
He crossed the road, unzipped his trousers and exposed himself, causing distress to the woman involved.
Detective Inspector Damian Barrow said: “The three ‘flashing’ incidents are linked and on all occasions the man appeared to be under the influence of alcohol.”
