TANHOUSE: An XBox 360, two controllers and 11 games worth £745 were stolen from a house on Ennerdale between 3.15pm and 3.40pm on Saturday (June 20) after thieves entered through an insecure window.

DIGMOOR: An XBox 360 in white, 20 XBox games and a black Sharp Aquos 32inch LCD TV worth £1,050 was stolen from a house on Belfield between 5.10am and 9am on Saturday (June 20) after thieves entered through an insecure patio door.

Sgt Andy Willis said: “During the summer months we always have a number of burglaries where entry is gained via an insecure door or window.

“I appreciate that people leave them open for ventilation but they are an open invitation to a would be thief. Please ensure that they are taking steps to ensure their own security.”
