Arrests made after drugs raids in Skelmersdale

POLICE carried a series of drug raids in Birch Green, Digmoor and Up Holland areas.

Addresses at Inskip, Blakehall, Mill Lane and the Victoria Pub on Ormskirk Road were all searched by police.

Three men aged 20, 22 and 43 and one woman aged 42 were arrested for various drugs offences.

Police seized a quantity of cash and substances suspected to be controlled drugs.

Two suspected CS canisters were also seized from the addresses.

Det Insp Marie Jackson said: “Individuals involved in drug dealing can affect everyone in the community and their activities impact on the quality of life.

“The police will not tolerate drug dealing and will continue to take robust action in targeting offenders to ensure they are brought to justice.”

The warrants have been supported by the Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership. Neighbourhood policing teams have been patrolling the respective areas throughout the day informing residents about the police activity.
