Skelmersdale pub set alight by arsonists

FIRE crews attended a fire at a pub in Skelmersdale last night.

Two appliances attended the scene around 8pm at The Owl and Pussycat on Egerton in Tanhouse.

The pub, which is no longer in use and was boarded up, is believed to have been set alight deliberately.

A fire spokesperson said: "The fire was dealt with quickly and this was a case of arson."
