A 28-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested on suspicion of being involved with the supply of cannabis after police swooped on four addresses in Skelmersdale.
More than 100 plants – with a street value estimated at £40,000 – was seized from just one of the addresses, a property in Fairstead.
Inside, officers discovered hydroponic equipment and fertiliser set up across four rooms after the premises was specially converted for cultivating the Class B drug.
The other raids targeted addresses in Elswick, Blythewood, and Abbeywood on Thursday and Friday.
At the Elswick property a large bag of cannabis bush and a large amount of cash was also seized along with approximately 10 boxes thought to contain counterfeit trainers.
A 32-year-old woman was cautioned for allowing cannabis to be grown on her premises.
Sergeant Andy Willis of West Lancashire Police said: “We are committed to taking action against the cultivation of cannabis and I would urge anyone who has any information about drugs to tell us so that we can act on it.”
The man arrested has since been released on police bail, pending further enquiries.
Anyone with information about drugs can report it to the police on the new non-emergency number 101 or to Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
