Wigan Athletic FC encouraged to build new football training academy in Skelmersdale
WIGAN Athletic are being encouraged to build a new football training academy in Skelmersdale.
The club had targeted a site in Wrightington, West Lancs but have been met with opposition.
Cllr John Fillis, Labour leader in West Lancs, has suggested Skelmersdale could provide the required land for the project.
