Ormskirk Solicitors raised over £7,000 for Autism Initiatives

Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors

STAFF and clients at Dickinson Parker Hill Solicitors,  based in Ormskirk, have  helped raise over £7,400 for  Autism Initiatives through a Charity Will Month held  during November last year.

Partner,  Michael Prendergast, said: “Each year, we hold  the Charity Will Month and  each year the people of West  Lancashire continue to be incredibly generous with their  support.

We would like to  thank all of those clients who  took part in their scheme for  their kind donations and also  thank all of our staff who help  make the scheme possible with  their hard work and dedication.”

The scheme works by clients  making a donation to the  chosen charity, rather than  paying the usual fee. Previous  years have seen Dickinson Parker Hill support Macmillan, Help for Heroes and  Alder Hey.

The charity  benefits from the additional  funds and local people get the chance to get their affairs in  order by having a professionally prepared will put in  place for them by a qualified  solicitor.

Autism Initiatives is a  charity that helps support  children and adults with autism and learning  difficulties. They have a centre  based at Mere Brow and  supported accommodation  across the region.

Mr Prendergast said: “We  have every intention of  carrying out the scheme again  this year and hopefully we will  be just as successful as in previous years.”
