ANTHONY Kearley, 43, of Birkrig, Skelmersdale, appeared at Ormskirk Magistrates’ Court on November 26 and pleaded guilty to having a quantity of phenazepam, a controlled drug, in his possession on August 29.
Kearley was given a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £15.
GEORGE Peter Jones, 32, of Birch Street, Skelmersdale, appeared before Ormskirk magistrates on November 26, charged with producing cannabis between April 1 and 2 September 2013.
Jones was also charged with assaulting a police officer – namely PC Rimmer – in the execution of their duty on September 2.
He has not yet entered a plea for either offence and was given unconditional bail until he is due to appear for trial in Preston on January 30.
