THE Men -aces successfully pulled a 19.5 ton truck to raise money for six-year-old Ben Jones.
After a hearty breakfast the ‘aces took up their places in Ken Abraham’s truck yard on Sunday.
The lads all pulled together and managed to heave the 19.5 ton truck and trailer 300m.
The Men-aces had previously pulled an eight ton truck so this challenge was set to test them.
Carl Eaton manager of the Aces said: “ The driver of the truck, Tony Mawdsley, thought there was no way we could pull such a monster but to his surprise we did it .
“Around 50 people came to see us and cheer us on many of them coming from Ben’s family in Ormskirk, Aughton and Liverpool.
“Ben was co-pilot and looked down at the lads with his smiles encouraging them to carry on.
“I’d just like to thank everyone who helped us to complete this challenge to raise money for little Ben.”
The ‘aces are hoping the truck pull will raise around £1.5k for Ben as well as raising awareness for his condition Phelan-McDermid Syndrome which means he has severe learning difficulties.
