SINGER Steph Woods is determined to make 2014 a huge success with the release of her debut single “Miss Misguided.”
The track is due to be released within the next couple of weeks and the Skelmersdale star hopes her fans will enjoy this new offering.
Steph re-emerged into the public eye in 2013 with a high profile appearance on the X Factor.
The 20-year-old last appeared on the show when she was just 14 and formed a special bond with judge Sharon Osbourne.
Last season Sharon championed Steph but she was sent home by Nicole Scherzinger at boot camp.
However Sharon Osbourne mentioned her again during the the X Factor final, commenting on how talented Steph was.
Steph was determined to not let it be the end of her singing journey and she was soon scouted by a London producer.
Trips to recording studios in Cardiff, Northampton and London soon followed and Steph remained Skelmersdale’s golden girl.
Now her popularity is set to rocket again as she releases her first original track.
Steph said: “It’s a song about my year basically. The highs and the lows and the challenges I’ve faced. It could also relate to a relationship though for those people who don’t know my story.
“It’s an upbeat dancy song and there’s one section in particular that’s very catchy and people can’t get it out of their heads.
“I’m really proud of it. We’re currently just tweaking it so it’s perfect, but I personally think it’ll go down well with my fans.
“My producer keeps saying how he thinks 2014 is going to be my year and I really hope it is. We’ve got some more great songs in the pipeline and plans for music videos. I just want to raise my profile even further and bring my music to the masses.
“The people of Skelmersdale have been amazing . When I was on X Factor they were there for me but even after they’ve been brilliant. Everyone has kept faith in me and I’m so thankful.
“I want to encourage everyone to keep believing in me and to keep following me on Twitter and Facebook.”
