ZAK Edward Murphy, 19, of Whitburn, Skelmersdale appeared before Chorley Magistrates on January 30 charged with taking a Nissan X-trail without the owner’s consent and driving it without insurance on January 29 at Skelmersdale. Murphy pleaded guilty and was given a community order; he was also given a £35 fine, and ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £65. His driving licence was endorsed with six points.
LYNDSAY Diana Warner, 30, of Beechtrees, Digmoor appeared before Chorley Magistrates on January 29 charged with beating Dean Davies on January 27 at Skelmersdale. Warner pleaded guilty to the charge and has been remanded on conditional bail to allow a pre-sentence report to be prepared before she appears in court again.
GILLIAN Bernard, 46, of Aspen Way, Skelmersdale appeared before Ormskirk Magistrates on January 28 charged with destroying a glass panel in the front door of a house on Egerton to the value of £100. Bernard pleaded not guilty to the charge and she has been remanded on conditional bail until the trial on March 25.
MARCUS Oliver, 24, of Lyndhurst Ave- nue, Blackpool appeared before Ormskirk Magis- trates charged with fraudulently obtaining £2,500 from a Skelmers- dale woman. Oliver has not entered a plea and was sent for trial at Liverpool Crown Court.
