Ormskirk and Sunday District League

Stanley Bowl Final

Fantail  3  Mariners 2

Division 1

Civil Service 2 Platinum M/W 7, Ambrose Ellis 1 MCA 1, Database 2 Coach & Horses 1, George's 2  The Liver  6

PLATINUM went further towards the championship crown beating Civil Service with a hat-trick from MOM Joey Waring and goals from Graeme Spike, Joe Wilson, Todd Hunter and Alan Morrow.

Civil Service goals came from Steven Sims and Jay Clarke.

The Service put up a good show and did not deserve to be on the end of such a rout.

MCA made the best of a game in which the official failed to show drawing one a piece with Ambrose Ellis. Goal scorers were Andy Colhune for MCA and Will King for Ellis.

Bottom club Database pulled off the shock of the day with a win against high flyers Coach & Horses after a goalless first half. Damon Hazaar opened the scoring for Database with Joe Ledson equalising for the Coach. John Bond scored the winner.

George's put up a worthy first half show before going down to a strong Liver team who have been boosted by the return of the Parnells players since they dropped out of the Premiership after Christmas.

Scorers for Liver were mom Darren Lee with a hat trick, Phil Dutton, Elliot Murphy and Mark Nolan. George's goals came from ANDY Rowan with a brace.

Midweek result

Platinum M/W 5  (Joe Wilson 2,  Jay Waring, Todd Hunter, Ian Gardner) MCA 1 (Dave Roach)
