The North West Divisional Champion Merseyside Nighthawks are pleased to announce that they have secured the facilities of JMO Sports Park in Skelmersdale to host their home games for the 2015 season.
The state-of-the-art 3G pitch has been a successful playing venue for the Nighthawks in 2014.
They triumphed in their opening game against last season’s divisional champions Chester Romans on the first day of the season.
More recently the talented American Football outfit claimed the division themselves in a tense battle against the Manchester Titans.
The club will play their first British American Football Association National Playoff game against the Farnham Knights from Surrey at the ground this Sunday afternoon – August 24 – with a 3.30pm kick-off time.
Nighthawks club president, Gary Lee, said: “Whilst we are still maintaining our training and development facilities in Childwall Sports College, this great news ensures that our players are given the best opportunity to perform in the competition on a quality playing surface.”
The venue will also host their sister club, Liverpool John Moores University Fury’s games through the winter, and can be found at www.jmosportspark.co.uk
