Mitch FC first team is proud to announce their Shirt Sponsors for the 2014-15 season is the Mukuru Project Liverpool.
The Mukuru Project Liverpool is a registered Charity and the sponsorship money has been provided not from the charity themselves but a generous community member who wished to raise awareness of such a worthy cause while at the same time supporting local community football and the growth and development of Mitch F.C.
Manager Chris Sowerby said: “The Club would like to whole heartedly thank Jim Seed for his generosity and hard work as a trustee for the Mukuru Project Liverpool.
“Far too many children home and abroad do not have the opportunities that so many take for granted.
“We are delighted to raise awareness of the Makuru Project, who provide education, food, medicine and support to children and villages that desperately need aid, while at the same time giving our local lads a new kit for the season.”
Mukuru Project Liverpool is a local charity set up by a group of volunteers who have reached out directly to the community of Mukuru, Nairobi, South Africa.
Jim Seed speaking about the charity said: “The slums of Mukuru were built on a rubbish site in the city of Nairobi over 30 years ago.
“Over 700,000 people dwell in the slums of Mukuru even through the slums rapidly developed they were completely forgotten about by the government.
“There are no toilets, no running water, no electricity and sanitation is so poor sewage permeates throughout the village.”
Jim went on to say: “Sponsoring a great Club like Mitch FC who work hard to provide excellent opportunities for Children and young people in Skelmersdale was my way of helping out two great courses both close to home and abroad.”

As Mitch F.C gets ready for the new season they are hosting a Family Fun Day on Sunday, August 10 at Barnes Road, Old Skelmersdale, behind the Scout Hut.
Entry is free and will start at 11am until 5pm.
There will be lots of things going on, including: Bouncy Castles, BBQ, Ice Cream Van, Stalls, Penalty Shoot Outs, Obstacle Course, Managers Stocks, Games and prizes to be won.
The Club receives no financial support and fund raising is essential for our development.
