Nighthawks head for Britbowl and aim to tame Wolves

After beating Shropshire the Nighthawks take on Edinburgh in the final in Leeds

The Merseyside Nighthawks booked their place in the British American Football National Finals this Sunday with a 33-16 win over Shropshire Revolution at JMO Sports Park in Skelmersdale.

The Nighthawks will be travelling to the 'Britbowl', the sport's showcase event, in Leeds on September 14 for the first time in 21 years after an unbeaten regular and post season.

Opponents, the Edinburgh Wolves, secured their spot after beating the number one seed the Solent Thrashers in Southampton and will travel to the John Charles Stadium to play the Merseyside Nighthawks, the highest ranking seed left in the competition.

Tickets are available on the day from the venue and will cost £5 for adults and £1 for under 18's.
