THERE’S still time to get involved in Jospice’s biggest charity event.
The Starlight Walk will take place on Friday (September 14) and offers a choice of two routes, one of 12km and one of 7km.
This year’s fundraiser is set to be the biggest yet, with men being invited to take part for the first time.
Organisers have decided to relax their women-only rule in the march through the night to raise money for the Thornton-based charity, which provides care for local people suffering from terminal illness.
This year’s event will start earlier, at 10pm. Both walks will start and finish at Holy Family High School, in Thornton, and follow fully marshalled and well-lit routes.
This year’s walk will be officially launched by Radio Merseyside presenter Billy Butler.
To sign up, call Jospice on 0151 932 6035 or email enquiries@jospice. org.uk for a registration form.
The cost of registration for the event is £12 for adults and £9 for under-16s.
Walkers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
