Burscough put five past Garforth Town

BURSCOUGH went ahead on four minutes when Darren Brookfield ghosted in to the box and poked in a cheeky flick at the near post.

The Linnets extended their lead on 37 minutes from a well worked free kick and Williams smashed a terrific effort into the top corner.

Burscough made it 3-0 on 49 minutes as Louis Mayers swept in a beauty from distance.

Five minutes later it was four as Caddick put Brookfield in to dink over O’Neil.

On 70 minutes, Brookfield netted his third. Caddick’s low cross wasn’t cleared and Brookfield curled in from 18 yards.

The visitors were unable to nick a late consolation when Moke blasted a penalty over the bar.

On Tuesday night, Burscough lost 2-0 at home to Ramsbottom United.
