Ormskirk Under 12's 3 Aughton 3
A DRAW was a fair result in this local derby fixture. The 'in form' Craig Laverty, played below his normal high standard to be beaten 4-1,4-0 by a very consistent Robert Thomas.
Next up was Matt Peterson against 'arch rival' Jamie Treanor. Treanor held his nerve to win 4-1,8-6 on a tie break.A big previous night party didn't effect Danny Pugh's stamina as he dug deep to win on a tie break 10-1.Then rookie Adam Ranson made the scoreline level by overcoming Nathan Graham 10-8 again on a tie break.Laverty and Peterson didn't get going against Thomas and Treanor who completed a good day's work with a comfortable 6-2 victory but second doubles pairings of Pugh and Ranson made honours even with an impressive 6-2 win against Birchall and Graham.
